** Through a program called Cash Discounting / Dual Pricing.
The Customer Makes a Purchase – The customer swipes, inserts, taps, or enters their card details for payment.
Authorization Request – The transaction details are sent from the merchant's payment terminal or online gateway to the payment processor.
Processor Sends Data to Card Network – The payment processor forwards the request to the card network (e.g., Visa, Mastercard, American Express).

Typical Credit Card Processing Fees:
* Credit Cards (Basic/Standard) – 1.5% to 2.5%* Rewards Cards/Premium Cards – 2.0% to 3.5% * American Express – 2.5% to 3.5%
Issuing Bank Approval – The card network contacts the customer’s bank (issuer) to check if funds or credit are available and if the transaction is legitimate. The bank then approves or declines the request.
Approval Sent Back – The approval (or decline) is sent back through the network, processor, and merchant, completing the transaction in seconds.
Settlement & Fund Transfer – At the end of the business day, the merchant submits approved transactions for settlement. The processor collects funds from the issuing bank and deposits them into the merchant’s account, typically within 1-3 days.
Processing Fees – The merchant pays fees to the payment processor, card network, and issuing bank, usually a percentage of the transaction plus a fixed fee.
While the bank is not likely to lower their fees, the payment processor can and does where their volume is significant. Meaning, the bigger, more established firms could opt for more business at a reduced cost because they have huge transaction volume.
Our partners have made a deal with one of the largest credit card processors to reduce transaction costs and put more money back in your pocket!
